Green Leaf Receives NSF International Certification

Company’s Hose and Pipe Fittings Comply with NSF/ANSI Standard 61 and NSF/ANSI Standard

Fontanet, IN–February 18, 2016–The fluid flow experts of Green Leaf®, Incorporated, a Fontanet, Indiana manufacturer of injection molded nylon and polypropylene products, announces that their nylon hose and pipe fittings are now certified by NSF International as fully complying with the requirements of NSF/ANSI Standard 61 – Drinking Water System Components, Health Effects and NSF/ANSI Standard 372 – Drinking Water System Components, Lead Content.

GreenLeaf’s nylon hose and pipe fittings (manufactured in sizes 1/8” to 2”) are utilized for a variety of agricultural, plumbing and industrial liquid-handling solutions.
An ISO-certified company, Green Leaf designs their nylon fittings, including hose and pipe fittings, for durability and performance in both cold- and hot-water applications and to be resistant to organic solvents, oils, gasoline, high impact and high temperatures.

NSF/ANSI 61 testing covers all products with drinking water contact from source to tap, and determines what contaminants may migrate or leach from a product into drinking water. It also confirms products are below the maximum levels allowed to be considered safe. NSF/ANSI Standard 372 tests products for lead content to ensure that they comply with lead content requirements for “lead free” plumbing as defined by California, Vermont, Maryland, and Louisiana state laws and the U.S. Safe Drinking Act in effect as of January 4, 2014.11
