Eight Lechler Nozzles EPA Approved For Spraying XtendiMax® with VaporGrip® Technology

Fontanet, IN–May 2, 2017–The fluid flow experts of Green Leaf®, Incorporated, an Indiana manufacturer, are proud to partner with Lechler to announce that Lechler’s ID Series of Air Induction spray nozzles are EPA approved for spraying XtendiMax® with VaporGrip® Technology for use on Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans and cotton.

Distributed exclusively by Green Leaf in the United States, the EPA has approved Lechler’s ID Series across a range of sizes, including 110-03, 110-04, 110-05, and 80-03, available in standard poly as well as ceramic. Lechler’s ID tips are approved for spraying of XtendiMax® within a range of 30psi – 40psi.

For farmers planting dicamba or 2, 4-D resistant crops this year, nozzle selection is a key part of their crop management programs.  Only EPA approved nozzles, operated within tested and verified pressure and flow rate ranges, should be used.

Lechler, a worldwide leader in engineering and manufacturing spray nozzles and systems, designed the ID Series of Air Induction nozzles to provide extremely low drift potential. The spray pattern creates extremely coarse to coarse droplets that are uniformly large in size. Thanks to high drift-reduction, coarse droplets, and excellent precision of the spray pattern, Lechler’s ID spray tips stand up to challenging wind conditions. With recent developments underscoring the critical importance of reducing drift, experts estimate that 60% to 70% of initial drift control is based on proper nozzle selection. Lechler’s ID nozzles are specifically engineered to create larger spray droplets that will mitigate drift.

“This is a shift in how farmers normally think about and select nozzles,” noted Pete Goda, President of Green Leaf. “In the past, some farmers could take a one-size-fits-all approach when choosing a nozzle. The new reality is that approved nozzles are a product label requirement, not a suggestion. Nozzles not approved by the EPA should not be used.”

The next generation of weed management, XtendiMax® with VaporGrip® Technology is designed to be the industry’s lowest volatility dicamba formulation. An integral component of the Roundup Ready® Xtend Crop System, it is an ideal dicamba option to help manage glyphosate-resistant and tough-to-control weeds.

“We’re always committed to bringing farmers new technology that helps them spray safely, to help maximize yield potential, weed control and quality.” concluded Goda.
